The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is a top priority for the Delhi Unified School District. We have established procedures for our educational partners to report any issues that could affect the learning environment. Additionally, we strive to inform our community of how they can help us prevent incidents that may impact our schools.
Have conversation with your families regarding the negative impact of resharing and reposting information found on social media, and the benefits of reporting. We ask that instead of reposting or resharing, you report.
Remember that we have adopted the use of the STOPit online reporting tool that can be used on any computer, tablet or cell phone designed to report incidents of bullying, cyber abuse, threats, possible self harm and other inappropriate behaviors. By using STOPit students have the power to help put an end to harmful and inappropriate behavior they see online through social media and other means. They can use STOPit to ANONYMOUSLY reach out for help if they or a peer are facing a personal crisis or experiencing bullying, abuse, or are otherwise in need of assistance. Our goal with STOPit is to create safer, kinder, school communities both online and off. In addition to helping the district monitor and prevent inappropriate behaviors, students will have access to the STOPit, mobile app, which has two simple but powerful features.
Also, please feel free to use the 988 Suicide and Crisis Helpline that provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States. You can call or text 988 or visit the 988 Suicide and Crisis Helpline Website to access help.
